LOCATING A GOOD FINANCIAL COUNSELOR
Many families don't understand the
difference between good debt and bad debt and never take the actual cost of
financing into consideration when buying new cars, boats,
motorcycles, etc.. The total amount of debt and cost of interest is
not taken into
account, only the payments that have to be made are. Most people
feel that as long as the payments can be met every month, they are
in good shape.
Overspending is big problem! Individuals that proceed in this manner by
recurrently borrowing money will eventually find themselves in a
financial rut that they will have a very hard time getting out
of. If you feel that you are headed in this
direction, or are already having money issues, you may want to
think about obtaining some debt advice from a professional
financial counselor. They will be able to offer you input
on what you can do to regain control of your finances.

quality financial counselor has the ability to independently
analyze your present state of affairs, assist you in
developing a practical budget, pinpoint your areas that are
problematic, and create a strategy for getting you out of debt.

deal with creditors as well as offer assistance in
dealing with collection agencies.

debt relief is certainly a smart thing to do. However, it is
important that you locate a counselor that actually knows what
they are doing. Unfortunately, they are dishonest organizations that will try to sell you products and/or services
that you absolutely do not need just so that they can get a
commission. During your searching for a financial counselor,
only agree to see ones that are offering a fee-only service. This means
that the only fee that they charge is for meeting with you.
They will not try and sell your any type of financial products
that you will not need.

eliminating debt. The National
Foundation for Credit Counseling is an excellent resource
for locating good credit counselors. They will help you find a
quality counselor in you area that will most definitely
be able to aid you in putting together a formula for getting out
of debt, and staying out of debt! They will teach you how to
manage your finances in a way that works for you! It is very likely that you can
